Surfing should be in the Olympics!! That's all there is to it, its definitely more of a sport than most of the time honored"Olympic Sports", am I wrong? Cross country skiing seems pretty hard too actually, and maybe Curling. The best part about having surfing as an Olympic sport, it could be held in both the summer and winter games.
Looks like the rest of the East coast got slammed with snow, record amounts in some parts, I heard three feet. A high pressure system just kept the snow, wind, and swell for that matter, well to our south. Some long period swell is making its way up to these northern regions as the storm moves further off shore, but don't expect anything to big out there. This is definitely a good excuse to get out and do some paddling though, get in shape for that next swell.
If there was no snow from this storm, at least it has been consistently cold for the mountains. Snow making is definitely in full effect now as most areas are still building up a solid base. Here at the shop we have all 2010 snow gear at 40% off, so anything you might need to stay warm and dry is here, and at a really good price.
